ABOUT ME
My name is Tom, founder of Autoperla Ltd.
I grew up in a "car family", so inevitably I developed an appreciation for cars and the care that goes into keeping them looking their best.
What started with cleaning my mum's Jaguar S-Type back in 2006 quickly developed into a lifelong passion for detailing.
Joining enthusiast groups and enjoying tours of the Cotswolds, the UK and Europe with fellow petrolheads who share the same passion, has only deepened my appreciation for the craftmanship behind each person's pride and joy.
By nature, I have an analytical, detail focused personality. My background working offshore as an operator and controls engineer, followed by working on cutting-edge synthetic fuel technology, requires astute technical skills, precision and a methodical approach.
That mindset naturally carried over into my detailing work.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
I have cared for a wide variety of cars, including my own, ranging from hatchbacks, estates, SUVs, to more unique sportscars and supercars.
Caring for new cars, establishing a routine from day one, and more specialised attention such as working on delicate matte paintwork, has established my wide knowledge base and experience.
Understanding the process, selecting the appropriate products, and mastering the correct techniques are essential to safely achieve exceptional results.
To provide the highest standard of vehicle care, I have completed specialist training with leading names in the detailing industry. This includes the Autoglym Professional Valeting Training Course, where I developed professional interior and exterior detailing techniques while gaining a deeper understanding of product selection and application from a brand with over 60 years of expertise in vehicle care.
I have also completed the IMI-accredited Slim's Master Detailer Training Course, delivered by Morelli. This intensive programme covered advanced decontamination, machine polishing, surface protection, and the application of professional coatings across a range of automotive materials. The training provided hands-on experience with industry-leading equipment, products, and techniques used to achieve safe, effective, and long-lasting results.

Autoperla was founded from a devotion to cars, and the belief that every vehicle can have the contentious care and attention it deserves.
The aim is simple: to provide premium, bespoke detailing routines that treats your vehicle with the same pride and devotion I give my own.
